CFEED Expands Its AI and Data Tools to Support Student Readiness Across Florida’s Education System

CFEED is expanding its suite of analytics and AI tools to help Florida’s education leaders gain faster, deeper insights into student readiness—from high school through college completion. Each innovation reflects a growing need for integrated, data-driven systems that support smoother student transitions and stronger academic outcomes across the state.

AI-Powered Research Assistant

CFEED’s new AI Research Assistant represents a major leap in how education data can be explored. Using advanced natural language processing, the Research Assistant allows analysts and institutional partners to quickly access insights from years of completed studies.
Instead of manually searching through archives or long reports, users can ask questions, compare trends, and generate summaries that connect findings across multiple projects.
The goal is simple: turn institutional knowledge into a living resource—one that helps leaders make faster, more informed decisions based on the full body of CFEED’s research.

Integrating Common Program Prerequisite (CPP)

Another major milestone is the integration of Common Program Prerequisite (CPP) data from the University of Central Florida. These prerequisites define the foundational coursework required for each major and serve as key milestones for transfer-ready students.
By bringing CPP data into the CFEED platform, advisors at partner institutions can now view how students’ completed courses align with their intended majors before transfer. This proactive view supports stronger advising conversations, helps students stay on track, and reduces the time and cost to degree completion.

Student Major Readiness Dashboard (In Development)

CFEED is currently developing a Student Major Readiness Dashboard that strengthens collaboration between Valencia College and UCF by giving both institutions a shared view of student progress.
The dashboard translates data into actionable insights—showing which majors a student is best prepared for, which requirements remain, and where targeted support could make a measurable difference.
For faculty and advisors, this means earlier outreach and more personalized guidance. For students, it means a clearer path toward academic and career goals, minimizing credit loss during transfer and helping improve persistence rates.

Dual Enrollment Readiness App (In Development)

Also in development, the Dual Enrollment Readiness App is being created in partnership with the School District of Osceola County.
This self-service tool uses CFEED’s machine learning models to identify students who are ready for advanced coursework such as Dual Enrollment, AP, IB, or AICE programs.
District staff can filter, visualize, and export readiness data directly—empowering schools to expand access to rigorous learning opportunities and better prepare students for college-level work.
By connecting predictive analytics to everyday decisions, CFEED is helping districts use their data to increase equity and opportunity in advanced coursework.

Looking Ahead

These initiatives mark the next phase of CFEED’s commitment to improving education outcomes through data collaboration and applied AI.
Together, they form a more connected ecosystem—one where K–12 districts, state colleges, and universities can share insights, anticipate student needs, and measure impact more effectively.

But this is only the beginning. Each tool will continue to evolve with new capabilities, expanded datasets, and enhanced machine learning models designed to serve Florida’s education community even better.

Stay tuned as CFEED releases updates to these initiatives throughout the year—each one bringing us closer to a smarter, more connected future for student success.
